Airtel Digital TV onboards Star Kiran HD on its platform

Bharti Airtel owned direct-to-home (DTH) service provider Airtel Digital TV (ADTV) has expanded its channel lineup with the addition of Disney Star’s Odia GEC Star Kiran HD on 27th March 2024.

After the addition of Pravah Picture HD, Sony Sports Ten 4 HD and Sun Marathi HD last month, ADTV has further widened its HD channel count with the latest addition of Star Kiran HD on channel number 598.

On 6th June 2022, Disney Star made its foray into the Odia television industry with the launch of Star Kiran along with its HD variant Star Kiran HD. Also, Star Kiran HD is the only Odia HD channel to exist in the respective TV industry. Star Kiran was launched as a fifth GEC after Colors Odia (formerly known as ETV Odia), Sidharth TV, Tarang TV and Zee Sarthak (formerly known as Sarthak TV). Seemingly, Airtel Digital TV had added Star Kiran SD few days before its launch and was the first DTH to do so.

After Dish TV and Tata Play adding Star Kiran HD on LCN 1308 and LCN 1758 last year, Airtel Digital TV becomes the third DTH to on board the channel. As of now, the channel is nonexistent on both d2h and Sun Direct. ADTV users can avail the channel by paying Rs. 15 per month. Overall, with the addition of Star Kiran HD on its platform, Airtel Digital TV has broadened its HD channel lineup by holding 94 HD channels, which totals to 717 channels including 543 SD and other service channels.
