No, channels shutdown decision is from Jiostar, all paramount brands operating license is still with Jiostar (they've leasing it in a multi year deal) despite paramount exit in Erstwhile Viacom 18. MTV and nickelodeon will stay

Channels like Vh1 and Comedy Central are getting farewell treatment. Same will never happen to a channel like Star Sports. People remembers and appreciates gold. No one wants to be related to excrements. Keep enjoying this Uday Shankar and whoever else is behind this shutdown. This is your legacy. Merger of a bigger company with a smaller one while getting to play second fiddle. Only because you didn't knew how to run it at first place.

Uday Shankar and team were the one who killed Champions League Twenty20, because it was boring.

It was Set Max and Lalit Modi type people who made IPL what it is. If IPL would started with Star Sports without Lalit Modi, it would end like Zee's League that too without any controversy and only because of bad ratings, even after SRK type stars as team owners.

Utv brand was 1 of the best network in its initial days.. I think after OK and UTV now Star will ruin colors brand.

OK brand was successful in it's initial days but later it's success faded and Star gold brand is much more Successful and Famous than utv, so They rebranded them as Star Gold, even zee rebranded big Ganga as zee Ganga and Big Magic may also get rebranded as Zee Magic
