OK brand was successful in it's initial days but later it's success faded and Star gold brand is much more Successful and Famous than utv, so They rebranded them as Star Gold, even zee rebranded big Ganga as zee Ganga and Big Magic may also get rebranded as Zee Magic

Utv was never in competition with star, it had unique identity with innovatively dubbed English movies along with world wide cinema library of world movies, unfortunately that kind of stuff doesn't exist now with any broadcaster

Disney has a good/big stake in JV, also that channel is running without advertisements, so most likely it will go on.

UTV was a local brand taken over by Disney, Big was a local brand taken over by ZEE, TEN again (locally based in Asia) was completely taken over by ZEE subsequently Sony, Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, Nick aren't local brands, neither are they completely taken over by JioStar, how much would JioStar shell out just for brand licensing?
Someday, we'll also see the plug pulled on MTV and Nick branded Channels.

And yes we may reincarnation of these channels after the no compete clause fir Paramount Global gets over, we did see ESPN back in Sony ESPN, The History Channel, even MTV was earlier launched by Star, after the end of the deal, went off, came back independently, Nick was a block on ZEE before being a channel.
