MUMBAI: Compared to last year’s 100, more than 150 teams from different media agencies have registered for the second edition of ‘No Talkies’, the nation-level dumb charades competition exclusively organised for media agencies by Multi Screen Media’s Hindi movie channel Sony Max.
The channel has received entries from media agencies that include Maxus, MEC, Mindshare, Motivator, Madison, Zenith Optimedia and OMD. The event, which will culminate in Mumbai, seeks to find the filmy deewana among media agencies, buyers and planners across Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru.
Max VP of marketing Vaishali Sharma said, “Our media agencies are the ones who are responsible for developing our media plans year-on-year. In order to strengthen our relationship with media agencies, we have created this unique B2B initiative that provides an engaging platform for media agencies to have fun ‘Bollywood’ style. ‘No Talkies’ not only brings together media agencies from different cities under one roof enabling them to get to know one another in a fun and informal setting, but also helps to bring out the film enthusiast in them.”
The participating teams will be slotted into different groups and will have to compete with each other over a few exciting rounds of the game. The city rounds of the activity kicked-off in Bangalore on 3 September, which will be followed by Delhi on 5 September and Mumbai on 12 September. To be held on 19 September in Mumbai, the finale will have a Bollywood show guaranteed to delight.
“This year, we have stepped up the challenges and have made the competition more competitive. We received an overwhelming response for our initiative last year and believe in going above and beyond movies to captivate our audiences.
“With the intention of boosting the agencies’ response, we pulled out all stops to amplify noise around this event. We undertook a range of pre-buzz promotions such as setting up popcorn stalls in media agencies and distributed banarasi paans to generate sufficient buzz around our B2B marketing initiative,” Sharma added.
Media agencies are also gung ho about the second edition of ‘No Talkies’. 150 teams sign up for Sony Max’s ‘No Talkies’ | TelevisionPost.com
