That's why AXN was also shutdown despite being the #1 entertainment channel. I still miss the channel.

It was definitely not #1.
It shut down when Top Gear was taken over by boring 3rd set of British people. It was boring channel when it shut down.

I have tried asking them this like 100 of times and I got reply two or three times that, in future with correct partnership they might launch but I think there was some sort of deal between sony and KC global media regarding not launching AXN again in India that is why they are not launching, if they can launch KCM then there is nothing stopping them from launching AXN too, has to be some kind of permission issue.

Sister channel of "HITS Now", i.e. "HITS" is available in India but most likely as a overpowered add on service at one or two DTH(s).

Before 2002, later The channel renamed as Zee Studio and all the fun vanished, Zee studio also rebranded to & Flix which is running from last few years

No bro, all facts checked, Sony decided to sell AXN in early 2020 to kc global media after which there was no other choice for them other than to shutdown AXN in India, In other countries such as Germany and all, rights were sold to some other party by Sony for AXN, regarding top gear, it could be a factor but imo AXN was never a boring channel as it still had shows like Wipeout, Amazing race, American Ninja Warrior, although I will admit it was much better before R.E.D rebranding.

Nope, none of the content that AXN asia is showing currently is shown in India except for fantasy island and SWAT which is shown by Zee cafe but Zee cafe is showing old season while AXN Asia is showing new seasons.

Ohh. Those were the times when cable TV was like Netflix's entry in India, even after 7 to 10 years being in India.

Some times I think that kids who are teenagers now, will tell stories that they have seen uncensored things at Hotstar and Prime too in future.

I know HiTs now is fantastic channel, it has best of the reality shows, I have already asked the owner to make it available but I did not get any reply from them and I dont think any english broadcaster is going to invest in India after seeing the condition of english channels in the country.

Not exaggerating bro but movies like killing me softly, basic instinct used to air on prime time with all the forbidden scenes, also FTV was also favourite of 90's child whenever no one is at home, but Curse Sharmila Tagore for all these non sense changes, ironically she was The first to wear bikini in 70's
