RE: PEMRA awards DTH licences, hoping to curb down illegal DTH

Why good news

Address of those subscribers are registered within india so if they recharge then Indian DTH company will get revenue as well as Indian Govt get tax(Close to 35% so not a small amount), now if Pak subscribers get their own DTH they will choose that one instead of illegal Indian.

Lets say there are 50,000 subscribers. If we take average revenue is close to Rs 250 then tax becomes Rs 70 per box per month. So Govt gets Rs 35,00,000 tax only from pak per month ;)

Hmm so you are in favour of illegal dth business of Indian dths outside India.

I am in favour of additional tax collection as we need to develop our Roads and railways by whatever means, without money these cannot be done ;)

My question is If Pakistani DTH comes in the market then how they can make contact with big companies like STAR, Sony , ZEE because without sports and entertainment package Pakistani DTH would not get successful. Here very few community is able to pay heavy recharge every month.

RE: PEMRA awards DTH licences, hoping to curb down illegal DTH

Dr. Shahid Masood injected an interesting twist to the

latest developments regarding the postponement of the

DTH bidding process.

In last night's show (Tuesday, Dec 8th, 2015) on News-1

he claims to have talked to a cable mogul in india the other

day who told him that TATA was going to enter the bidding

of DTH licenses in Pakistan, through a front company. And

that the son of Shahbaz Sharif had already visited india to

sign a MoU with TATA, to that end. TATA would also supply

the DTH hardware to Pakistani customers.

This is just an extension of rumours flying around that NS

is going to sell Pakistan Steel Mills to india's steel magnate

Mithal, through another front company. Likewise, with PIA.
