RE: 3 Pakistani DTH bidding date reannounced

Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has announced that it is restarting the auction process of DTH licenses and date for the auction has been set as October 3, 2016.

This was decided during a board meeting that held at PEMRA head office today.

PEMRA had previously planned to auction DTH licenses late last year, but whole processed was scrapped when new PEMRA chairman was appointed just one week ahead of auction.

Now foreign companies can also apply for DTH but with 50% investment from local partner

as far as i know from resources tata group will be bidding fot license with collaboration of sharif family group

Its gud.... but Pakistan has total of 82 chnls I guess.

Those who already have Indian dth installed...will not want to leave it..due to variety of content being offered..and almost abt 500 chnl wid avg of 50 hd chnls as well.

Its gud.... but Pakistan has total of 82 chnls I guess.

Those who already have Indian dth installed...will not want to leave it..due to variety of content being offered..and almost abt 500 chnl wid avg of 50 hd chnls as well.

No Pakistan has around 150 channels with 3 HD channels and many new channels will start once dth operates
