NBA rights are owned by SPNI in india. If they ever showed it on ESPN, it was their decision. All sports rights that Sony owned will still be owned by Sony.

Anything unique that ESPN brought, like X Games etc. will go away with Sony ESPN channel demise..

Correct me if I am wrong, ESPN is not fully owned by Disney. So, if Disney wants ESPN to be with Star Sports they first need to get the nod from the other ESPN partner.
