Sony - ESPN split-up was just a matter of time. Sony Mix is a surprise.

Not a surprise as MTV Beats will space fill in post merger, one can expect more such changes from both network in coming months

@Akash Solanki bro, please edit the thread title as 3 channels are shutting down: Sony Mix, Sony ESPN SD and Sony ESPN HD.

Waiting for @dino29 bro's response regarding this news. At the same time Sony BBC Earth despite poor ratings is running.

BBC Earth is joint venture, both parties can together come to decision. If ratings do not come up then surely BBC will either exit or team up with new partner

no at present, even current one not doing well hence launching one more is highly unlikely

I was expecting that Sony will launch Sony ROX (in SD version) very soon, which will focus only latest bollywood songs and Sony MIX will be completely revamped with old classic/retro and 90's era songs.

But, instead of coming of new one, the old remaining one are also gone.

Realy unbelievable and shocking news. I prefer to watch hindi music on Sony MIX.

Bad decision has been taken again by SPN.
Firstly, Animax, Sony Rox HD, Sony Le Plex HD, Sony Ten Golf HD, now it's time say good bye to Sony MIX and Sony ESPN.

Hope, one by one, they may shutted their all channels. Next may be Sony BBC Earth, Sony Pal, Sony Wah, AXN, Sony Max 2 to shut their shops. Even Sony Aath and Sony Marathi may shut down soon by our beloved N.P.Singh!!!!

Actually thing is that they didn't given the SONY BBC Earth in basic pack otherwise it was No.1 & 2 in its genre.

I subscribed Sony Mix Every Night

This is not surprising for me. People now become very choosy to select channels and remove them after 1 day. So more channels going to shutdown soon.

Sony BBC Earth is my favourite channel because quality of programs in discovery channel's going down. They have shows like Bear Grylls and Pawn Shop..

Sony Mix couldn't win slot on freedish and their contract ends on 31st march. Can it be reason to shut down channel?
