Cool down bro, no one is insulting anyone here. @RajKumar bro just shared his perception based on what he broadly noticed, he is not a regular viewer of punjabi channels.
Also i do not agree that bollywood is crap and has little original content to showcase, bollywood has been producing movies, songs for so many decades and lacs of songs + stories have come out since then. When so much content comes out then at some point ideas do run out and people look for recreating or borrowing stuff or should i say collaborate for fresh things. Punjabi music no doubt has immense popularity but at the same time hindi songs r equally good & enjoy success.
About Punjabi channels giving less weightage to entertainment shows, well here again demand and market equation comes to play. Airing songs requires less investment and gets high TRP but producing original shows is a cost consuming thing hence few opt for it. But let me be upfront that punjabi music channel space is too crowded now and either channels have to change content strategy or forced to shut down. In 90's and early 2000's Alpha Punjabi aired good comedy, drama and other shoes , i hope such things r back soon
