ABOUT INVESTMENT IN TP

I already know that tatasky invested big amount for tps in gsat10,gsat11 and reliance and sundirect also invested in measat3b...is airtel invest in any satelite? they are currently having 11 tps...is it enough to add more channels in future?

airtel seeking permission to isro(IM),no new satillite required for airtel.more inactive tps available on ses7.just waiting for permission to use forign sat or make space on indian sat.

from current tp,if they use it like videocon ,they will give 100 sd or 30 hd.
by the presant usage polici they can add 50 sd or 15 hd.

There are 19kuband tp inSES7.But Airtel has only 12tp.So they may get the rest 7tp.
There is NSS11 with 28tp colocated.But some tps are used .Airtel mayn't hire
tp from this as its lifetime will end in2015.

Good news is that another satellite SES9 is launching at same location in about 15-16 months with 81ku tp after isro approval.

if airtel got rest 7tps in ses7...they are able to add nearly 200sd channels or around 70hd chs....hope soon airtel got permission from isro to activate these transponders....

No... ses7 has only got 12 tps for south asian beam.... rest tps are of north east asian beam and south east asian beam... their signals cant be reached in india.... so airtel cant utilize more than 12 tps on ses7 that are allotted to them...
