ABP News has taken back the number 2 position from India TV in Week 21 of BARC’s individual data for Hindi TV news genre. In Week 20, when only household data was available, India TV had relegated ABP News to third slot.
The Rajat Sharma-promoted channel was occupying the second slot in the ratings chart. Aaj Tak continues its dominance as the No. 1 Hindi news channel in household as well as individual data.
In the English news genre, India Today Television, which was earlier Headlines Today, has snatched the number 2 position from NDTV.
At number 3, CNN-IBN has made a comeback to the top 3 slot in the English news ladder. Times Now is a clear leader in the genre and is leading its nearest rival by a long margin.
The English business news segment is witnessing a see-saw battle between CNBC TV18 and ET Now. Even as ET Now became the number 1 English business news channel in Week 20, CNBC TV18 has got its numero uno position back that it has consistently held for many years. NDTV Profit/Prime has clawed back to the number 3 spot dislodging Bloomberg TV India.
In Hindi business new segment, CNBC Awaaz has taken an unassailable lead over its nearest rival Zee Business. In Week 20, Zee Business was ruling the roost in Hindi business news genre.
