Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited's (Zeel) free to air (FTA) channel Zee Anmol has toppled Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) market leader Star Plus to become the leader in the genre in week 49 according to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India, HSM (U+R): NCCS All: 4+ Individuals.

Since the introduction of rural data by BARC India, FTA channel Zee Anmol has been amongst the top three in the Hindi GEC genre since week 41.

Zee Anmol secured its leadership position with 779821 (000 Sum), whereas Star Plus was second in the pecking order with 751510 (000 Sum).
