Airtel able to add nearly 75 SD channels with present TP space

Airtel now has 285 SD+18 HD channels....

Airtel totally owned 12TP's on SES7,in which 11tp's are active now and remaining one not activated till now....

Airtel TP's are able to carry 36SD channels on 1TP or 10HD channels....
If they mix both HD&SD chs in single TP then they able to add 20SD+5HD chs on single TP.

Total TP now in airtel 11+1(not activated)

If we neglect 2TP's for HD channels i.e,2*10=20HD chs-18HD(available in airtel)=2 HD chs left

Remaining 9TP's is for SD channels i.e,9*36=324SD chs-285SD(available in airtel)=39SD chs left

1TP not in use,that can carry 36SD or 20SD+5HD chs....

In future airtel mainly concentrate on SD chs addition they are able to add 39+36=75SD chs+2HD ch

But if they consider HD chs also then airtel able to add 39+20=59SD+7HD chs....

But in my opinion they can still add abt 65-70 channels.

U have taken the avg no of HD channels in 1 TP as 9, whereas 11640V is carrying 10HD channels as of now.

Also, avg no of channels in one TP is arnd 34, that can be added. I ve seen 35 active channels in one TP earlier, nowadays, they are scattering the channels smartly in all TPs... so that there's a balance bw gud and avg PQ quality channels. :k

Is there any HD addition going to happen as they are the worse in adding channels in SD and as I see they don't even care to add HD channels..

Dunno what they are waiting for now and not adding channels..

50 SD channel space is sufficient for 1 year considering current 800 channel available an d new SD MD HD channel coming in future

if it bag good TRP,thn sure they add it.....

but u dnt want kappa TV?

Airtel in the process of introducing kappa tv in its platform after d2h....
