MUMBAI: Direct to home (DTH) operator Airtel Digital TV’s net subscriber addition during the quarter ended 30 September has tumbled 58.6% to 207,000 compared to 499,000 in the trailing quarter.
The net subscriber addition fell 19.3% on a Year-on-Year (YoY) basis. In the previous fiscal, it had 256,000 net subscriber additions.
The DTH operator’s total digital TV subscriber base increased 1.6% to 13.52 million from 13.31 million in the trailing quarter. The total subscriber base saw a 9% increase from 12.4 million subscribers in the previous fiscal.
The DTH operator generated free cash flow of Rs 32.6 crore compared to Rs 63.9 crore in the trailing quarter. In the previous fiscal, the company generated free cash flow of Rs 48.8 crore.
