AIRTEL HD - Remote controller goes unresponsive

Hello folks,

I have been lurking here for quite sometime. Got Airtel D2H installed today (was using videocon d2h previously). Everything is good.
But something strange I have found out is that remote goes unresponsive. I fail to understand as why? It's new remote, new batteries. Any idea?

Its HEVC. Dont call it as a recorder box. All the new installations will have the recorder available.

Yeah.. after few minutes, (i was pressing all buttons randomly) it started working again. Maybe there's a child lock feature or something similar!?

check the remote IR bulb blinks or not when you press any button during that unresponsive time. You can check this using any camera. If it works the problem may not be with the remote. The fault could be in STB. You said that you got Airtel DTH installed today. So, it might be possible that you got a faulty product. It's better to contact CC and ask for replacement.

Maybe there's a child lock feature or something similar!

I use TS and there is no child lock feature in remote. I'm sure that Airtel remote doesn't have this feature either.
