Ajith’s ‘Arrambam’ is one of the most anticipated films of this year. The release date is yet to be officially announcement, but the buzz is that the movie will be releasing for Diwali this year. The latest news is that the Arrambam rights for Coimbatore region have been sold for a record price.
There is no surprise in this as ‘Thala’ is the king of opening and the movie will be rewriting the box-office records. The movie is directed by Vishnuvardhan. Arya, Nayanthara and Taapsee play other central characters in the film. Music for the film is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

The theatrical rights of Ajith's Arrambam for the Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Ooty and Erode areas have gone for a record price. Cosmo Pictures has purchased the rights from producer A.M.Rathnam for a whopping amount, which is the highest in Ajith's career so far.
When speaking to our Behindwoods Correspondent, Cosmo Pictures' Shiva said that the Arrambam figure beats the figure paid for other recent biggies such as Thalaivaa and Singam 2. Only Superstar's Enthiran is ahead in terms of pre-release sale in these four areas.
Meanwhile, the release date of the movie is still not clear and an official word from the producers is eagerly awaited.

Arrambam story has been revealed by its director. Contrary to the rumours, director Vishnuvardhan has revealed that Ajith does not play a hacker in ‘Arrambam’. He has confirmed that it is Arya who plays the hacker. The movie is based on real life incidence and it will be a modern day ‘Indian’. The director has also revealed that each character will have its own unique importance and the characters are multi-layered.
Ajith will be seen fighting against the evil forces in the society. The shooting has been wrapped up and post-production is happening in full wing. The movie is tentatively slated for release for Diwali this year.
