why alla are more exicted about abc chanel..i think it is also poor channel like france 24..
 
Some strange facts about freedish recently e-auction result-
1-first they selected upasna tv who not started test transmission on satellite mode,avalible only on internet webcast.
2-abc tv still waiting for clearence from I$B ministery but its selected..
3-then without any e-auction process RISHTEY channel selected...
 
Upasana tv must have got licence so they could have entered auction, allowing ABC tv is like a threat to India so it may reqiire clearence from I&B min which may be consulting home/foreign ministries, Rishtey which is under Network 18 group must have used backdoor route without auction process.
 
ABC already signed a deal long ago. Just formal green signal from govt agency needed. Many foreign channels running in India on cable/Dth and also on FreeDish.

Foreign Friendly Govt channels can be added by paying only Rs 1cr/yr whereas private channels need to pay 3cr to 5cr/yr.
