Discussion All SD channel should be in 16:9 format.

Now a days All/Maximum DD (Doordarshan) channels are broadcasting in 16:9 format. So why not all private channels are not in 16:9 format? Reason behind this....? Please discuss and clarify brothers.

If channel is in 1920x800, then stretching them will make viewing experience unnatural.

Many private channels are also in 16:9 format. Others either wants to promote HD or they don't care.

As an example see Mahabharat on Bflix. Making it to 16:9 has ruined it. For new channels, no issue like MTVBeats over 9XM

Yes some private channels are in 16:9 format. But Those programme are recorded in 4:3 , that should be in 4:3. But I say channel format should be in 16:9. That means all new shows should format in 16:9. If Doordarshan channels can done why not all private channels can done?
