Does this really happens from airtel side?will airtel dare to lose 56 star channels at a time?
how many customers still stay with airtel if they remove all at once?
Instead of defaming by losing all channels, airtel surely increases packs prices step by step.
they may follow TS style of access fee.
if both airtel & TS prices are nearer that is also big problem for airtel ( airtel giving competition to TS with their effort-able price packs)
TS is fast in adding channels and more no of channels in count.(TS having sun network hd channels, zee network HD channels)
Very tough time for airtel.
we are waiting for more HD channels addition and sadly going to lose many channels.

Neither Airtel Nor Star Don't Want Those Channels To Be Discontinued.

If Things Really Not Settled Well Means

Star Channels Might Be Kept In Add Ons / Aa-La-Karte Like Sun Group Channels Once Kept By Dish TV!

But Star Finally Loses Their Lone Good Supporter!

Channels Definitely Will Not Be Removed At Any Point Of Time! That Too Ahead Of IPL!

Hope Everything Gets Settled Soon!

Don't bring TS here unnecessarily, TS having HD access fee long time but Airtel only following add-on policy still now. If they want to go by HDAF they have done it long before itself and they wont simply add channels to HD add-on without increasing HDAF. If I am right nearly they have added 20 HD channels in Max HD add on, still the addon cost is 220 Rs... If it is TS they would have surely raised it to 300 Rs calling themselves a premium dth... We Airtel users are enjoying 60+ channels at a low rate of below 400 but in TS we have shed nearly 500 to watch all HD channels I think. I agree TS adds channels fast but as a premium they have to give maximum HD channels as they are costly...

We Airtel users are happy with what we have. We have patience to get this issue solved and addition of Zee and Sun HD channels....

No,Airtel should not follow any access fee Style. Airtel Prices and packages very good than others. In my opinion Airtel should not follow others step. Never.
Or Nothing to worry. I am 100% sure Star channels never discontinued on Airtel. May be Star channels will be available as a add on/a la carta, but thats fine. But only for this reason, Airtel should not follow others Access fee method.

Bharti Telemedia, Star dispute lands up in TDSAT
MUMBAI: The Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has asked direct to home (DTH) operator Bharti Telemedia and broadcaster Star India to negotiate and enter into an agreement.
Bharti Telemedia had moved TDSAT against Star India’s disconnection notice. The tribunal has restrained Star from giving effect to its disconnection notice while directing the DTH operator to clear the dues.
