According to the latest buzz, Amitabh Bachchan will be playing a Pakistani national in Oscar winner sound designer Resul Pookutty`s directorial debut. Resul always wanted to ventured into direction and was looking for a right script.
Right from the beginning, Resul was keen to cast Big B in his directional debut.
Talking to a daily, Resul said, “I have approached Mr Bachchan for the film that I want to direct. The character is from another country. But it is not a political film. It’s an extremely humane subject that touches the lives of people on both sides of the border.”
Pookutty informed that his old classmate Amitabh Singh approached him with the script of the movie.
"I was completely blown away. I had to direct this film, and direct it with Mr Bachchan in the lead," Pookutty said.
Insiders reveal that the film will speak about the emotional feeling that a father shared with his son.
Meanwhile, Big B is geared up for the next season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ which starts from September 7.
