Asianet News is not a part of Star Network.

Asianet News comes under Jupiter Entertainment Pvt Ltd.

And also Republic is not from Star Network. Its a joint venture of Arnab & Jupiter Entertainment (Rajeev Chandrasekhar MP). These two are the main investors in the channel

Asianet Communications owns Asianet News and Suvarna News. Its director Rajeev Chandrashekhar is a part-owner of Republic TV.

Asianet/Asianet HD/Asianet Plus/Asianet Movies/Star Suvarna/Star Suvarna Plus are entirely owned by Star. Asianet, Asianet Plus and Asianet Suvarna (as it was called then) were sold by Asianet Communications to Star in 2008.

It's not completely sold to Star.. but Star India holds the majority of share in Asianet.
