I don't think so. Let's take serials for an instance. 9 out of 10 serials of Asianet are remade from other languages. Lack of creativity and giving injustice to the original series are clearly visible

Asianet also upgrading and still they are giving good shows and serials unlike sun tv no creativity in their shows Asianet not misusing their brand name and 30 years legacy by creativeless shows

Both 24news and Reporter Tv is Injecting Entertainment in news channel sector.
Not everyone will enjoy this..
That's why asianet is still up on the list.
They are in the top not only because of Brand value.

Comparatively Asianet news have better credibility than other channels. When it comes to news channels credibility matters. Reporter tv always breaking fake news. If Asianet news introduce better visual quality and HD channel, they will be on unbeatable position.

Exactly now all the network following remake culture its quite easy for them instead of orginal ..yes Asianet remaking but all their remake story line are good remake's like chempaneer poovu , santhwanam 1 and 2 are really good

Maybe you're referring to Etho Janma Kalpanayil - remake of IPKKND. Yes the marriage celebration is with Northern touch like Sangeet, Mehndi,etc. But we should also see that nowadays almost high profile marriages in Kerala have these functions. Remakes work & hence more are being made.

Now most of the Upper middle class have also started having Sangeet and all in their weddings. Few of my close neighbour weddings it was there so its not only high profile but even the upper middle class have started having it.

However regarding the topic the main reason I think is peoPle believe that Asianet do this unbiased reporting. Everyone who watch Reporter see during elections see the way each reporter in the channel are clearly supporting a particular party and the fun fights they have which make for viral videos on insta and YT. Even I feel 24 has this but in a comparitively less scale.

While the nextgen loves this and follows them online the majority of the older generation especially the 45+ want proper unbiased reporting which they feel these channel lack so they tend to watch Asianet News.

Regarding News18 Kerala I dont know whether its a problem of Asianet and KeralaVision digital boxes or a problem with the color scale of that red and white too much. When I ask my neighbours and colleagues why dont they watch News18 one reason I hear them say which I havent heard them say about others is

1. The PQ is bit dull
2. The color scheme that they have seems like everything is breaking news which is a bit irritating when you watch for long periods of time.

If we go by views on YouTube live stream then 24 News is no.1 followed by Reporter.

Every news channel claiming to be no.1 using different categories. But Asianet News is always at top, similar to Asianet.
