Who said Asianet News is no.1 news channel? Is BARC rating available?

If we go by views on YouTube live stream then 24 News is no.1 followed by Reporter.
Here we are talking about trp no about youtube views if we goes with YouTube views fake news spreading youtube channels will be no 1

As I mentioned most of the nextgen do streaming on YT and they prefer news channels that have this friendly quarrels with biased reporters they want to watch news like how friends watch IPL or EPL where everyone supports a party and there is friendly banter(argument) among the reporters

However majority of those who watch malayalam news on TV is the people above the 40 or 45 age bracket and they wish to see news where the reporters dont openly support any party and in that Asianet News easily wins.

We can maybe discuss which news channel is leading combined TV + YT but when it comes to pure TV then Asianet News is miles ahead and btw I watch 24 on YT🤫🤫🤫🤫
 
100% true. brand matters. most Malayali's are stuck to asianet brand, that's the reason why star fears on rebranding asianet. News18 has all capabilities to match Asianet due to its larger presence in pan india.

Can't JioStar ask Asianet News to change name now?

The Asianet brand is owned by Jupiter capital.they only gave rights to star to use asianet name after it was acquired from them , so jiostar won't ask Asianet news to change their name but Jupiter capital has rights to ask jiostar to change the brand name

Its actually the other way around, jiostar sublicensee the brand asianet . They pay royalty every year.
The management decided to continue with royality as changing name would have negative impact on ratings

Yes, I guess. Though their social media handles and website haven't got updates since 2021. But they still got employees on LinkedIn.

People of Kerala are very familiar with the brand name since ages & often consider it to be from the same company. Shared brand value benefitting all of them.
