I do not remember in what language HomeTV Programs (late 1990s) were, but Doordarshan has telecasted Popular Korean Dramas like Samudra Ka Badshah (Emperor of the Sea) and Ghar Ka Chirag (Jweal in the House) in 2005-06.

Also, Zee's Zindagi TV was airing Turkish Drama in Mid 2010s, Sahara's Firangi TV Aired some Russian Drama's in Mid 2000's.

So Atrangi's Claim is not correct.
