New Delhi, Jun 5: Baba Ramdev's "fast-unto-death" protest has abruptly ended with a midnight drama when police dispersed the Baba's supporters from Ramlila Maidan at the wee hours of Sunday, Jun 5. The drama has not yet been over as the yoga guru has gone missing after his "arrest".

Media reports earlier had reported that the Baba spoke with some TV news channel from a undisclosed location and dared the police to arrest him with "proper warrant." But close aides and relatives of Baba Ramdev on Sunday morning claimed that they have not received any concrete information about the yoga guru's whereabouts.

According a news channel, Baba said, "I request the Prime Minister that if they want to arrest me, then they should arrest me with a proper warrant during the day time. Why they came like thieves and did this, it is unfortunate."

However, police official said that Baba has not been arrested but has been moved to a safe place over security reasons. Police officials also claimed that he (Ramdev) will be taken to his Haridwar ashram.

A large number of police personnel descended at Ramlila Maidan, the venue where Baba Ramdev is on a hunger-strike demanding action on black money. Around thirty people were injured during police "brutality".
