Most of the popular pay entertainment channels slipped down. Star Plus, Zee TV etc lost much.
One of the notable thing is Sun Network is managed to get good viewership in these days. 2 of their habits helped them here- Enriching movie library, Less repeats of movies. Sun TV increased ratings with the help of Movies, Udaya and Surya TV reached second position. Even Asianet has more movies than Surya, but over repeatation of movies by Asianet reduced the re-watch value. Thus Surya's movies getting good response than that of Asianet.
Star has disappointing ratings every where. Other networks also has fallings.

Talking about Malayalam GEC, it is best time for channels to realize how content matters in case of serials. Surya TV is the best example of how to gain TRP if you have good content and Flowers TV, best example of how you lose if you don't have much content and be a pay channel.
