It should be noted that Asianet Plus did not make it to Top 5 even with live telecast of India's matches in Malayalam.

On the other hand it affected the viewership of Asianet Movies which decreased tremendously.

Okay, something is still wrong with the rating. How can Dangal still be at #7 in pay market? Also CNBC Prime HD is priced ₹1 meanwhile it's SD version is price ₹4. Somehow overpriced version gets more ratings. And how is English music channel not a thing yet? Prag News is landing page on ACC-Siti Cable. Someone needs to question BARC about misuse of ratings using landing page.

Dangal is viewed by those having private operator connection too bhai. There r considerable amount of people having Private DTH Connections even in rural areas too and such channels are watched in good numbers there. Also in urban areas they command decent share.

Look at previous data from BARC, u will see Dangal or other such channels which have presence on private platforms apart from Free Dish.. They r getting significant viewership from private platforms. Just that now BARC has given out clear division about same which is surprising u and most others.

Infact i have known this since long time and each week carefully looked into these figures. This is the reason why some of these came in combined (Urban + Rural) top 5 positions on some occasions . U can have a look at Sony Pal or Star Utsav, they r still getting decent ratings from private platforms

Dangal is watched not only by rural DDFD viewers but also by cable and DTH viewers in rural and increasingly in urban areas. This despite not having any aggressive promotions of its shows. Perhaps it will be able to build a large base by showing more original shows, compared to old Imagine TV shows which should be relegated to the afternoon.

Hindi News / Music Channels have deliberately not gone for separate Pay/Free platform ratings as they r having good hold on both and it does not put them in spot of bother... No matter which way one looks at it.

Above all they get premium ad spots for pay tv audience and reasonable ones for Free Platforms. Great Advantage on each side, just like some hindi movie or gec channels enjoyed till they took terrible decision of exiting Free Dish
