BARC TRP Week 45

SET is all set to grab young audience but the fact is that no young audiences like to watch TV they all watch it on JioTV, SONY LIVE, AIRTEL TV, VODAFONE PLAY, IDEA TV, JIOCINEMA, etc.
But, now they have realised that and make a show called Main Mayeke..., Patiala..., Ladies Special, etc.
And still their ratings are down. More like star plus when their feminine centred nayi soch and all the shows that launched between that frame flopped, Sony's ratings are still a flop, and they're learning nothing.

Well said. Now is an especially successful period for Star Plus, as it is (more often than not) ahead of Star Bharat. Nazar, KZK2 and KKB were all launched in the past few months, and they are bumper hits. On the other hand, the only time SET enters the top 10 is during KBC, but KBC never lasts beyond three months. Colors is struggling similarly, but not as much as SET.

Sony is positioning itself as a soft channel. It's dramas don't have cruel antagonists. It's shows are somewhat realistic, which isn't appealing to audience who are preferring Komolika type unrealistic characters

Star Plus's Nayi Soch campaign was totally focused on women. Is that why it failed? And is that why it had to launch a new graphics package this year after less than 2 years of Nayi Soch?

And all i want is that they (SET) should stick to tgis kind of shows only. Because not everyone likes to watch Komolika some people wanna watch Sameer-Naina as well.

Bro Ladies Special season 1 was quite awesome. And same seems to be the case for this season as well. Also same for Patiala Babes.
And i think some people wanna watch realistic content as well. They will always e able to attract viewes from Mytho (Sai,Ganesh) and Reality (Super Dancer,Idol,KBC & TKSS). Also Crime Patrol and Un dino are getting great TRP's at late night slot. So they shouldn't stop giving realistic content . because every genre has a particular set of audience.

What the show like Un Dino Ki... Scoring is not called rating it's called fan following they can continue these shows but with set of mixture like StarPlus does with Rishta Wahi, Soch Nayi time. They attract the audience and grab the eyeball and are continuing that only only tagline have changed.

Yes, totally. Same reason for Sony's coming downfall

Yes. This time their focus is still on women, but they are bringing in young women as central characters, thereby winning both the youth and the women

Not as much as the other shows on the same time band, that's why they're losing. If they don't change their ways, they will eventually shut down this channel

Including little girls as you can see in KKB and previously Mariam Khan.

That is too much! They won't shut down the flagship channel. What can be done instead is this.
Start showing movies on Sony TV. Since Dilwale, SET has not shown a single movie. OTOH, most of the Star movies nowadays are being premiered on Star Plus rather than Star Gold.

If the current leadership stays on, I don't think the channel will ever survive. There has to be a change in the leadership. All wrong decisions, by Danish Khan for Sony TV, and np Singh for the whole network
