But bro, hd channel ratings are separate from SD channels. How do you expect hd variant to improve SD ratings?

I am not talking only of the ratings but the overall popularity of the channel of which ratings are one part. HD channels do not contribute much by viewership but they are still important for the higher picture quality. Somehow Zee Kannada has escaped all these years without an HD feed and it is still popular. But all the regional channels (including Zee Kannada) have launched HD feeds. HD may not impact ratings but it impacts the perception of the channel.

I hope KKB will last 1 year more at least as it is bringing excellent ratings for Star Plus. At the same time Star Plus and Zee TV's weekend shows don't seem to be as popular as Naagin and Indian Idol.

Ratings of Zee Bangla & Star Jalsha. SJ is so close to beat ZB.
I was expecting that SJ will beat ZB in next 4-5 months. But it seems it will happen next few weeks. Already SJ's 4 shows are capturing top 5 bengali shows slot. I m very happy now. My favourite SJ is going to regain it's top position.

Don't cry ZB. Please satisfy with would-be second position.

You are talking like, you are the channel head of Star Jalsha and Zee Bangla is your Rival Channel. You forgot that both channel is a bengali top channel. If Star jalsha doing good thing,this is a good for ours also if zee bangla doing great, it also good for ours. So don't talk randomly everytime.

To come to the investment mode, this time it is the Kannada Cinema that has been launched, last quarter it was Tamil. When do these ventures generating money?

Vats:: Firstly the good news, the Colors Kannada Cinema has opened very well. It has open to about 70 GVM (gross viewership in million). It is the number two movie channel in the second week of its launch. It has done exceedingly well.
