New Delhi : STAR Gold created history on 12th November 2011 with its world television premiere of Bodyguard clocking a staggering 10 TVRs. The blockbuster helped the channel garner an all time high of 226 GRPs according to TAM data for week 46 ‘11.
This milestone earmarks the biggest television premiere on a Hindi Movie Channel, ahead of Dabangg and Singham. With this overwhelming achievement of a record 10 TVR, Bodyguard is the highest rated Salman Khan movie on TV.
While only around 30mn fans have the watched the movie in theatres so far, an astounding 124 million* viewers tuned in to see the movie on November 12 on Star GOLD making Bodyguard one of the biggest and the most successful premieres on TV.
Commenting on this success, Hemal Jhaveri, General Manager Star Gold added, “We are thrilled with this achievement and the fact that Star GOLD is setting new benchmarks for movie channels.
