Watching "Thugs Of Hindostan" for 1st time and must say it is quite nice movie. Don't understand how common public snubbed it box office, definitely enjoyable and lot better than what bollywood churns out these days. I always do not trust reviews by critics but so does most audience and this is what surprises me more, this movie deserved to atleast earn 200 crore or more.

If public is expecting Aamir to just do meaningful cinema then this is not appropriate, he needs to keep doing masala stuff which people still enjoy. Strangely i feel this movie will do well on tv particularly among rural and small city audience, remember this segment lacks access to cinema halls or hesitant to spend big on buying ticket. Just like Tarzan (2003), Sooryavansham , Genius, Ramaiya Vastavaiya this movie has potential to overcome unnecessary negativity and become successful on TV.

I for one dislike how prominent people in cities just ridicule old style bollywood cinema but happy that larger public still enjoys watching it. If we indeed r mature people then we should accept diverse content without losing inherent elements of our own cinema, south indian cinema is growing / doing well bcoz they never let go true flavours of its storytelling, bollywood is too busy trying to go overboard in trying to shed off its identity and failing even in making brilliant meaningful cinema. Northern India needs to also have affordable movie theatres to actually assess audience preferences
