Drishyam aired on saturday and surely has got tv viewership ....
Uunchai vs An Action Hero (clash) probably uunchai as a family film will gain more audience on a sunday afternoon as other sooraj barjatya movies do ....
Brahmāstra has no competition and will surely get the most audience in the day
I feel viacom18 and sony/zee have alienated large part of bollywood audience base with their prolonged major focus on dubbed south indian movies for past many years. This i believe leads to even good bollywood movies not getting expected / desired high ratings on their hindi movie channels, by which i mean they r unable to leverage full potential for ratings/viewership which such movies offer as there isn't a dedicated / loyal / robust bollywood movie audience base which tunes into these channels. Disney/Star bcoz of its strong bollywood content driven strategy for past many years has built a huge loyal bollywood audience base which inturn provides them great / excellent ratings for good bollywood movies which r aired on their channels and even average or below average bollywood movies manage to achieve good ratings on their channels....even the extremely unbearable ones get average ratings during initial airings on their hindi movie channels
Given a choice i would unsubscribe Zee Cinema, Sony Max, Colors Cineplex, Colors Cineplex Superhits from my DTH subscription but as these come bundled in broadcaster bouquet / DPO bouquet and if opt for a-la-carte option to opt for my favourite channels then it costs me lot more than what i pay for broadcaster or DPO bouquets which alongside gives access to more channels thus i have continued with the latter option. Moment broadcasters make a-la-carte channels available at prices which r almost at par /or even slightly more than what i pay for these channels in broadcaster or DPO bouquet then will remove many unwanted channels from my DTH subscription...hope TRAI makes certain amendments which leads to broadcasters offering this practical choice as right now it is just for namesake and a-la-carte mode proves to be very costly to opt for channels
