Well my homemade conical ring was not that much effective as i had used plastic funnel & very thin silver foil... visible signal difference is only 4-5%...i dunno whether its adequate or not!! ya but I'm getting Trace HD & Trace Urban & FTV with some intermittent jitters..i think it could be better than this...

I think your ring will definitely works as compared to mine....pls. post comparison pics bro
