The much-anticipated merger between The Walt Disney’s Disney Star and Reliance Industries' Viacom18 is now in its final stages, with reports indicating that the deal will be officially completed as early as November 13, though it is expected to be finalized sometime this week.

As the companies prepare for this landmark merger, behind-the-scenes actions are already in motion. According to sources, both Disney and Viacom18 have begun transitioning key operational functions—this includes setting up new company email IDs, restructuring departments, and shifting certain business units over to Viacom18. These moves signal that the integration process is well underway.

But till today 1 am it was showing SIPL with Star Logo to Login.

Either tomorrow or Monday. It's now or never. The countdown has begun.

(Sorry for writing this type of cryptic post. But this is what came to my mind immediately after seeing all the previous posts in this thread)

Most of the article's mentioned nov 13 and nov 14 only 2 articles have mentioned nov 18 , still their is no confirmation time is the only answer for this merge

Will they improve sd quality of star channels same like colors ?star channels having very poor picture quality
Already picture quality of all Disney Star channels is very good and so is the audio quality barring maybe few South Indian Regional Channels....u may find Viacom18 having better picture quality ad they have made transition to wide screen 16:9 video aspect ratio for most channels which enhances content viewing experience....

Literally they crushed Star team. It not smells like usual exits ahead of a merger. More than a merger this is the first phase of Reliance' aquisition of Star, Just using the Star brands infront and giving total control to Viacom 18, makes it like an elephant tied under a cowshed. Whatever the name of the new company, it will be a 'Viacom 18 2.0'.
Nothing unusual, when such mergers happen these changes happen and here too exits happening from both sides do no case of anyone getting preference over another rather they are trying to best maintain a balance.... Many people r leaving voluntarily too and Disney has already decided to retain 2000 employees outside the merged entity which will look after Disney India and other region operations
