Timing of the show is odd how can we watch one episode at 9 am and the other at 9 pm. Air it one episode a day with one repeat. Most villagers who will enjoy this show will go to sleep by 7 pm.

It's weird that DD team had to go in war with Ramanand Sagar family to get the rights. If no one had the rights. Wouldn't they be happy to sell the rights at one phone call?

Meanwhile it's confirmed EPIC has the tv rights of Mahabharata. Maybe we can request them to re air the series.

They should air the same episode on both slots, so that people can choose their convenient slot.
Regional DD channels should also telecast the serial at the same time in regional languages.

DD seems to have lost rights of Mahabharat, Jai Hanuman, Chandrakantha, Bharat ek Khoj, Shaktiman, Main Dilli Hoon, Om NamahShivaya etc.
Maybe some one can update who holds what.

My point.

Not just Ramayan, Mahabharat, DD to also re-run Circus and Byomkesh Bakshi during lockdown

From Ramayan, Mahabharat, Chanakya to Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan’s popular series Circus and detective show Byomkesh Bakshi, Doordarshan (DD) is all set to re-telecast six iconic series in the 21-day lockdown period.

An official from Prasar Bharati, the parent body of DD, told ThePrint DD National will telecast Ramayan, Circus and Byomkesh Bakshi. While Ramayan will be telecast twice from Saturday onward, the scheduling of Circus and Byomkesh Bakshi is still being worked out.
