CNBC Unveils New Logo

Even MSNBC channel has become MSNOW in the US. So this is in line with that change. I wonder when this change may translate in India.

Logos nowadays are of disappointment. It looks like broadcasters are done with TV industry. If we take Star channel logos, only entertainment genre channel are good with decent graphics. Sports channels are big downgrade if compared to Star Sports (earlier) or Star Cricket. Zee is total disappointment. Sony on other hand also doesn't look that punchy. I still remember the very first logo of Sony Six. No sport channel till now can beat the channel ident and packaging.

New CNBC on screen logo in US

I love how international channels keep their logos small and tucked away in a corner. Indian channels, though, use huge logos that take up most of the screen. On top of that, the constant extra clutter from ad placements and movie/show countdowns just makes the whole thing look terrible.
