The channel is launching (rebranding) exactly on Colors Cineplex Bollywood’s first year anniversary.

With this rebranding , I hope they shift most dubbed movies to it and CC ( Colors Cineplex ) Telecasts more Bollywood movies than dubbed ones

I feel that they should drop the prefix colors from name of these movie channels and cater a separate cineplex brand, not only it will shorten the name but also give a new identity apart from making their names easy for viewers.

Great. Saw the promo just bow and it features equal number of dubbed south indian and bollywood which is a great shift in content strategy from what was previously in effect on Rishtey Cineplex.
But when i checked schedule of Rishtey Cineplex it is still showing only dubbed films from 1st april onwards, so either it will b updated later or maybe content strategy will remain same

Colors Cineplex schedule unavailable om its website w.e.f. 1st April and most probably it will feature mostly bollywood content from that date onwards

The problem is that the word Cineplex is not as short as Gold and Max, which Star and Sony can use effectively to create the names of new channels. Also, the original name of Colors Cineplex HD was only Cineplex HD. Colors was added later to strengthen the presence of the master brand.

I think Colors brand identity is essential as it develops recall value among audience and bringing all chs under this identity is right step. Colors Cineplex being flagship movie channel and Bollywood /Superhits being secondary channel add much appeal to the bouquet.

Plus now it is confirmed that Colors Cineplex Superhits will air mix of bollywood, hollywood and regional language dubbed films. Also will b available across platforms from 1st April. Tata Play should add even Colors Cineplex Bollywood asap.
