Yes. Since Bengali doesn’t have a V sound but replaces everything with B or Bh, it is common for Bengalis to confuse the two, in names in other Indian languages. Similarly Bengali doesn’t have an S sound, using Sh instead. Therefore, the correct name of the politician is not Suvendu but Shubhendu Adhikari.Actually, I didn't know the differences between 'ब' and 'व'। Thanks for correcting me & teach me something new.
