How to videocon d2h dish set manually .please tell me what the signal strength and how to set.

I think its very difficult to set any dth dish manually, u hv to need satellite finder for this, without satellite finder its very difficult to get good signal.

I have done this multiple times with FTA dish and motorized dish and D2h (twice), without using signal finder (Sat finder). You need to have bit patience and learning attitude. Off course, #10 spanner. You need a to have STB and TV/Monitor close to the dish to align this.

First step is to calculate the Azimuth and Elevation angles for setting up the dish for your location. You can use Satellite Finder / Dish Alignment Calculator with Google Maps | DishPointer.com or Apps from Playstore (they are better as you can literally see how the dish should point).
