Good news. But when it is going to happen ?

existing 5 transponders will be retained as MPEG2 DVB-S, but the newer one will be MPEG4 DVB-S to accommodate more channels by applying compression.

All the present 5 TP Stream machinery and this new equipment will be shifted and commissioned in a new building with better infrastructure.

The new transponder might become operational till year 2014 starts.

Mpeg4 and mpeg2 combination won't be good for dish tv.

DishTV is already running mpeg2 and mpeg4 channels. mpeg2 channels are carried out by old SD box and those with HD box or monoblock lnb can get mpeg4 channels too.

Now they will take another 2-3 years to add channels on these transponders.
