why not bro? We will get new taste of old shows. Kind of old rum in a new bottle.

All these old shows are recorded on video cameras and not film tapes.
Had they been on tapes, softwares could've scanned them to 2K or 4K quality output.
But for files on video tapes, softwares so far could not make any significant improvement in picture quality or resolution.
So even if an HD channel is launched, you will still watch the videos with the existing resolution, maybe in a box.

Those asking why DD Retro not added on Tata Sky. Well unless there is huge demand it will not b added. 9XO, Topper added n removed most probably bcoz it led to erosion of no. of subscribers opting for TS Music or educational services... Adding DD Retro will lead to same for TS Comedy.... They will give some other reason but my above assessment is based on what i noticed since many years

Well I m sure they can b upgraded but with limited finances DD would not b able to allocate funds for this. DD can request producers or companies to do it free of cost as a good will gesture. After this operators will have to b convinced to carry HD Feed which is not that difficult specially for temporary period

Even DD aired a horror show "Aap Beeti", produced by none other than B R Chopra. I think it came in DD in 2000-2001. DD Retro should consider retelecasting this.

Most of the graphics packages in India come from foreign countries, especially Argentina. What if the problem if DD also starts to use them? In fact this is simply a stock video; most design firms have prepared dedicated graphics for Indian channels, which DD is not doing.

It's not wrong to use some stock video but being a big network like Prasar Bharati and buying some graphic instead of creating is not cool. They must have invest in graphic designer companies and improve standard of channel.
