Yes those channels are 8k but its not available normal stb ..so not useful in sd and hd box ... that reason Indian tv channels not started 4k channel in india ...Also dd not

In Modi era we r getting many DD hd channels before that all channels were defunct.. even this govt policy towards sports broadcasting is proactive in terms of pro people.. now we r getting most all sports live on dd sports

No one is asking for charity. If people are willing to pay taxes on milk. They can pay for quality content. Problem is government run institution are loss making enterprise. You got BSNL who actually is making progress. Than you got Doordarshan being relevant using laws like national importance.

C'mon, bro. We had got 4K channels way back in 2015. Than government thought putting their nose in something that was running fine is good thing destroying niche tv industry. This is same slow government who waits until shortage of onion to hike tax on international exports.

Its expected to be launched on 2 September before ind vs pak game (as DD Sports will be only showing india matches so its 1st match of the asia cup for India and for dd sports)
