Doordarshan's two Telugu channel :

DD Saptagiri for AP:

Information and broadcasting minister Prakash Javadekar is expected to launch Doordarshan Saptagiri from Vijaywada on September 27.

Vijayawada unit, which is a programme generation facility, will be expanded into full-fledged Kendra with programme production and transmission facility shortly.

Initially, Vijayawada Kendra would produce six-hour programme for the new channel and remaining feed would be taken from Hyderabad Kendra.
