Normally four types of polarization are used in satellite signal transmission from space.
1.Horizontal polarization. 2. Vertical polarization.
3.Right hand polarization. 4. Left hand polarization.
Most of the satellite used ( H and V ) type of polarization. (No 1 and 2)
But some satellites ( mostly russian satellites ) used ( R and H ) type polarization. ( No 3 and 4)

Normal c band LNB not receive the right and left hand polarization.
But most of the Russian satellites used THIS RIGHT AND LEFT hand polarization.
So we used the teflon plate to convert this R AND L signal into V AND H type signal.
This is called the depolarization of the signal .
