Direct to home player Dish TV announced digital
entertainment at cable TV prices. The ‘family pack'
offering over 186 channels would be available at
Rs 176, according to a release. How the DTH player
would be able to offer digital viewing on cable TV
rates was not clear. For new connections, Dish TV would be offering
special pricing of Rs 1,399 with two months of the
‘family pack' including UTV and India Cricket pack.
Family pack will have 15 Hindi general
entertainment channels, seven Hindi movies
channels including three break-free cinema channels, 18 news channels, nine devotional
channels and others such as Cartoon Network,
