MUMBAI: Discovery Turbo will kick off the weekly show, 'Car Science', tonight at 10 pm.

Can you really make a car explode by shooting its gas tank? What's the best paint job for your ride? How does Hollywood create a car crash? Can a car actually stop on a dime? The show will seek to answer car questions, showcase experiments, graphics, high-speed footage analysis, a cast of characters.

Each episode will break down eight questions. The show gets into the bottom of questions and solves the most provocative and entertaining car uncertainties you can imagine. The motto is simple - If you want to know, it will be broken down, torn apart, until an answer is found. For the first time ever, viewers will get to see things that until now have been too small, too fast or too hard to reach The show leverages technology to measure momentum, friction and laws of gravity acting on a car. The show includes countdown of the five best muscle cars, blingiest cars and expensive cars.

In one episode the show gets technical behind the wheel and covers all the bases of how to perform the perfect car jump, from the approach speed to the angle of takeoff and the landing; getting the right recipe is vital to emerge unscathed.

The episode analyses the science of aerodynamics and turbulence, putting three convertibles with very different ways of deflecting the wind to the test to find out which one's best for keeping a baldie's wig in place
can really save a driver from an explosion.
