No, this is a Ka band satellite not ku band.

@bhuvanbhatt DishTV already has 2 satellites Ses8 & ST2 then why new satellite again ?
Don't believe on wikipedia,
officially there is no news regarding this,

Even Ses8 satellite has another 5 years lifetime,
Only ST2 satellite will be expired after 2 years.
