Thanks for your reply - So 70% signal is not a big deal! I thought its because of the signal. So i guess dish tv is compressing the channel heavily.
Very bad move from Dishtv. It Almost looks like SD channels.

Bro,

Simple, PQ is depends on DTH Operator, in this Signals are not problem...

if DTH operator gives pathetic PQ then your signals strengths 100% its does'nt matters...

Already Dishtv shifted all HD channels from Asiasat and cited lack of space to add new HD channels. It can be an issue as at the start as ,Star sports select HD channels during the launch were having PQ issues.

end result is not solely depends just on source but it also depends on your display component..if the display component or entire tv settin one havin is mediocre then end result will affect..
Regular program or movies bein recorded & sports broadcast bein done at different refresh rates like 24 frames ,30 frames,60 frames etc..
There is a reason TV manufactures highlights refresh rates, what is a refresh rate of your full hd TV..? Does it have a motion control feature ? (It adds additional artificial frame durin refreshin frames per second)

Thanks a lot for replying - Bro I have another question. My STB have 1080i 50Hz, 1080p 50Hz, 1080p 60Hz.

Technically isnt the 1080p 60Hz one should provide more detail? then why the 1080i ?
Just curious to know.

1080i 50Hz, 1080p 50Hz, 1080p 60Hz.
you can set your HDMI Settin as 1080 p 60 Hz refresh rate or 50 refresh rate for your FHD TV (PAL will be default with 50 Hz while with 60 Hz you will need to set PAL manually)..
Keep TV type as 'Default'..

If Your TV has 60 Hz refresh rate then TV will refresh picture frames ( if content originally bein broadcast at 30 frames then) twice per second..
Higher the refresh rate like 120 Hz ,it will give you better end result as it will refresh picture 30 frames 4 times per second..
