This things makes suffer for customers.
Not everyone is in need of ST2 software. For example, for a North customer like me it is not a good idea to even think about St2 satellite because I am getting more channels on 95 East than 88 East :) Moreover, we have no idea how many South viewers are also satisfied with the channels, how many of them already swapped the set-top box and how many of them already having boxes which has software support for ST2. Maybe because of these reasons Dish TV is not investing a lot of money on Arion HD model software.

Note: I am not saying they should not send the software update for St2 for Arion HD box. In-fact, I am of opinion every HD box should have support for both satellites and let the users decide which satellite is best for them.

It means for a person like me who can align the dish antenna by himself it is only 400 Rs. Not an expensive deal. I wonder if there were so many south channels in Videocon D2H then why so many South Indian customers chose Dish TV? Why not directly chose D2H when they purchased Dish TV?

I m from kerala, In my place I have not seen anywhere dishtv..
So these people might have took it many years before, when dishtv had a good time.
I am in abroad, no option other than dishtv.
If I am staying in kerala, I must now be typing my comments in Airtel or TS forum...
